With overall responsibility for strategic asset allocation, tactical asset allocation and manager selection, Sam sits on the Group Investment Committee, chairs the Asset Allocation Committee and is responsible for all aspects of the investments business. All the senior asset managers report directly to him. Since February 2008 Sam has held the role of Chief Executive Officer. Previous leadership roles were held with Goldman Sachs in both London and Hong Kong over a nine year period. Sam's qualifications include a masters degree in philosophy and politics from the University of Auckland.
