Central to TOWER's investment selection process is analysis of the relationship between market price and underlying value for a prospective investment. The objective of this analysis is to identify investment opportunities that are believed to be materially mispriced. Key to decisions made on value are those regarding inherent and potential risks.
We recently received a communication from TOWER, advising of the suspension of the three of their funds offered via RaboDirect.
The funds concerned are :
TOWER Global Commodity Fund
TOWER Global Hedge Fund
TOWER Global Gateway Fund
The Global Commodity and Global Hedge Funds are due to be wound-up, with proceeds repaid to investors following the respective termination dates, while TOWER are currently investigating a change of investment strategy for the Global Gateway Fund and have therefore temporarily suspended the Fund.
In accordance with TOWER's instruction, we will no longer be accepting new investments or withdrawals for these funds, with the Global Commodity and Global Hedge Funds removed from our managed funds offering, and a temporary hold placed on the Global Gateway Fund.
You don't need to do anything at present, but TOWER have advised there will be further communication regarding these changes by the end of August, and we will be sure to notify all affected customers as soon as we receive this.
