Our new BankaRate campaign is live!

For those of you who were part of the RaboDirect (née RaboPlus) community two years ago, you may remember a Term Deposit campaign we ran called BankaRate... well, it’s back, and even better this time!

BankaRate is a campaign whereby we offer a limited number of exclusive Term Deposit deals to RaboDirect personal and trust account customers (you need to have a RaboDirect account). Not only are there a limited number, but the clock is also ticking, so the deals are only available for a limited time also.

If you don’t have a RaboDirect account right now, don’t panic. BankaRate will run for a few weeks, so open your account as soon as possible, transfer your money to our award winning On Call account (currently paying 4.00% per annum to personal and trust customers) to be ready for the next available deal.

I am also unhappy about the Business Saver rates being discriminated against. Our investment company has no debt, several hundred k in term deposit, and yet somehow is deemed less important than someone as an individual

Sorry to hear you are not happy. The Reserve Bank regulations do encourage us to attract more retail deposits, which is reflected in the rates we offer retail customers.

Karl, yes you can. Simply bank more than one of the TDs at a time.

Disappointed to see that business savers are being discriminated against, particularly with your on call rates! Is not all money equal?

I have just made a $10000 6 month term deposit using your Bankarate offer (5.5%). Am I able to invest any more at this rate? Regards, Karl.
