Root to Tip is on now!

Root to Tip is a nationwide cooking competition for students in year 5 and 6, brought to you by Garden to Table and supported by RaboDirect. The competition is all about using fresh, local produce to prepare a meal packed with nutrition while also reducing food waste.

What’s involved?

In teams of two, students must create and submit a two course vegetable-based dish for judging. The key is to use as much of the fruit and vegetable they choose and keep waste to a minimum.

Regional heats will be held for students to cook their dish with the winning teams competing at a final in Wellington!
