You should note that as there are no fees associated with keeping a RaboDirect account open, even if it is at a nil balance, you may wish to consider keeping it open. In addition, you can access and use your RaboDirect account anywhere in the world. By keeping your account open you will not have to go through the sign-up process again, should you ever require to use the account.
Should you wish to proceed, please send us a secure email to confirm this by logging into RaboDirect, clicking on 'My Rabo' and then 'Create new message'.
We will then close the account and post you a final tax certificate. We recommend checking to ensure your postal address held by RaboDirect is correct. You can view and update this by going to 'My Rabo' and selecting 'Contact details' then 'Address details' while logged in.
Since an account closure can take two to three weeks to process, we recommend transferring your funds out to your nominated account prior to requesting the account closure as you will not be able to do this once the account closure process has started. If you have any regular payments going into your RaboDirect account please cancel these prior to requesting the account closure.
The remaining balance and any interest owed will be paid directly to your nominated account once the account closure is finalised.
